CEM Horta in Horta-Guinardó (Barcelona)

CEM Horta is a large municipal sports centre best known for its swimming facilities: three pools, including two for adults and one shallower pool ideal for children, a cafeteria and a small garden next to the pool area. Swimmers describe it as one of the best municipal centres for swimming, some find the monthly fee reasonable, and guided classes such as morning zumba are appreciated. Most recent reviews, however, point to poor maintenance. The two saunas are frequently out of order, showers have had temperature problems for months, a water fountain and several machines stayed broken for weeks, and changing room doors and toilets are in poor condition. Members also complain about dirty areas, air conditioning often turned off in summer, a lack of strength machines, crowding at most hours and rude behaviour from some reception staff. A good choice for swimming, but the gym and maintenance leave much to be desired.
