Eurofitness Estació del Nord is a municipal sports centre housed in a protected historic building near the Arc de Triomf, which gives it a lot of charm. Long-time members, some for decades, praise a professional and friendly team, good guided classes, a pleasant pool in winter and summer, an outdoor fitness area and a spacious, family atmosphere with people of all ages and no showing off. Value for money is considered fair. The age of the building is also its weakness. The fitness room has no air conditioning and gets hot in summer, some machines are old and slow to be repaired, there is often only one unit of each strength machine, changing rooms are hot and need renovation, and there is not always staff on the floor to help. Opening hours on Sundays and holiday eves are another common request. A characterful, good-value municipal centre, provided you can live with older facilities.
