CEM Can Felipa in Sant Martí (Barcelona)

CEM Can Felipa is a municipal sports centre in the heart of Poblenou, with several pools, a water polo team, children's classes, rooms for guided activities and a combined cardio and weights room. Long-time members describe a welcoming neighbourhood centre with updated machines, many class options and a young, friendly team. Most recent reviews, however, describe a deteriorating service. Families who have been members for more than ten years complain about constant overcrowding in a fitness room that is too small for the number of members, and above all about the summer of 2026, when the air conditioning and ceiling fan broke down, leaving more than 50 people training in 35 °C heat. Others report old machines, no floor technician, empty soap dispensers, short shower buttons, water being charged for and unhelpful staff on the phone and at reception. A central neighbourhood centre with good pools, but the fitness area is saturated and poorly maintained.
