Forus Picornell in Sants-Montjuïc (Barcelona)

Forus Picornell occupies the historic Bernat Picornell pools on Montjuïc, and its greatest asset is unique in Barcelona: a 50-metre outdoor Olympic pool in a green setting, alongside an indoor pool, a spa and sauna area, a gym and many guided activities. Members who love the place describe it as a privileged spot to swim and train, with parking and a feeling of being outside the city. Recent reviews are, however, very critical of the management. The most frequent complaints concern hygiene in the changing rooms and around the pools, with dirt, fungus and insects mentioned, long-running works in the changing rooms, a women's changing room without air conditioning, shortened outdoor pool hours and machines in poor condition. Reaching a human at reception is difficult since calls are handled by a virtual assistant. An exceptional setting for swimmers, but cleanliness and customer service currently fall short of the facility's potential.
