Club Metropolitan Badalona in Barcelona

Club Metropolitan Badalona was long considered one of the best gyms in the city, but its recent reviews are overwhelmingly negative. Almost all of them point to the same trigger: a fee increase of around 20 percent in autumn 2026, bringing memberships to roughly 100 to 110 euros a month, communicated by email or app that many members say they never received, together with the loss of access to the Sagrada Família club. Members argue that the price is not matched by the facilities: old pulley machines in poor condition, only one unit of the most popular weight machines, overcrowded classes that must be booked at midnight, damp changing rooms, rusty showers and air conditioning that fails during classes. Cancellation conditions are another source of frustration. The physiotherapy service is one of the few elements still praised. An attractive club on paper, but its members currently consider it poor value for money.
