Club Metropolitan Balmes in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi (Barcelona)

Club Metropolitan Balmes, in Sant Gervasi, is a compact premium club with a gym, a spa and a Technogym app that tracks your routine and settings for each machine. Several members praise the trainers and the reception team, described as friendly and helpful, and some find the club clean and pleasantly sophisticated. Most recent reviews, however, centre on price. Members report repeated increases without prior notice, around 20 percent in 2026, with fees now between roughly 119 and 150 euros a month depending on the plan, and some speak of a 49 percent rise in two years. For that price they criticise a small, crowded space with limited equipment, an ageing spa, morning classes replaced by virtual sessions and air conditioning that is either missing or blowing cold air directly onto users. The team is appreciated, but most members feel the club no longer justifies its premium price.
