Club Metropolitan Gran Vía in Barcelona

Club Metropolitan Gran Via, in L'Hospitalet, is a large premium sports complex with a gym, indoor pool, sauna and spa, padel courts and a full timetable of classes from spinning to yoga and pilates. Members still praise the friendliness of several reception and floor staff, and those who like the club highlight its size and its new, modern facilities. The last few months, however, have generated a wave of negative reviews. Long-standing members complain about steep fee increases, now around 100 to 110 euros a month, summer works that left the gym and pool out of action for weeks, broken air conditioning and hot water, and a new circuit of app-controlled machines that many find tedious. Others mention a lack of multipowers and cable towers, cancelled HBX and TRX classes and a crowded pool at times. The facilities are complete, but value for money is currently the club's weakest point according to its own members.
