CEM Júpiter in Sant Martí (Barcelona)

CEM Júpiter, in Sant Martí, is a municipal sports centre with a pool, aquagym and synchronised swimming courses for children, a fitness room and outdoor football pitches. Members generally praise the friendly reception team and weights room instructors, and the pool area is considered good. The main complaint is overcrowding: long-standing members say the centre has gone from a calm place to train to the crowding of a commercial chain at the price of a premium gym, with long waits for every machine, especially in the afternoon, and teenagers occupying equipment while on their phones. The fitness room is small, machines are rarely renewed, changing rooms are worn and the artificial grass on the small football pitch is in a dangerous state. Weekend opening at 9 am and two weeks without aquagym in August were also criticised. A useful neighbourhood centre for swimming, but the gym suffers from too many members.
