DUIN CEM La Plana Esplugues in Barcelona

DUIN CEM La Plana, in Esplugues, is a municipal sports centre with a pool, a gym, indoor padel courts and activities ranging from swimming lessons to tai chi. Members value the instructors, both on the gym floor and in the pool, described as good professionals, and several reception staff are thanked for their kindness. The padel courts are considered decent and affordable. Recent reviews are nonetheless mixed. Some new members find the gym constantly crowded, with machines occupied by people on their phones, and feel the 57 euros a month are not justified. Long-standing users note rising fees without matching maintenance, repairs that take weeks, insufficient air conditioning in the gym and padel courts, dirty showers and older weights. Senior pool users also report incidents at the start of the season. A complete local centre with good instructors, but maintenance and crowding weigh on the experience.
