VivaGym Avenida Roma in Eixample (Barcelona)

VivaGym Avenida Roma is an underground club in the Eixample, reached by a lift that connects directly to the street and the car park. Members describe modern, well-maintained machines, a tidy space and good prices, and even one self-declared VivaGym sceptic found it the only club of the chain she liked. The class programme is a highlight, with zumba, V-Power, V-Fight, indoor cycling and pilates led by very energetic instructors, and several reception staff are praised for their kindness. Recent complaints include a week without water, the removal of early-morning classes, a lack of leg machines and space at peak hours, high staff turnover, cockroaches and a leaking AC unit reported in summer, and the absence of free drinking water. A well-equipped, affordable gym with great classes, held back by some maintenance issues.
